Pages - JS and CSS

So I am tying to add an html page a friend sent me that had a CSS and JS I create a page pasted In the html created a css and js and pasted the content in these respectively back on the page I tick the check box to include the includes and inserted the recommended references that it told me to. however the page just is nearly blank nothing displays.

what do you have to do for the href in for the js or css? 

my site is https so referencing his sites http probably will not work?

Looks like your site is using HTTPS but you are calling the Google API's over HTTP.
