Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Insane21m Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Has anyone installed and ran ipboard on a Windows Server running IIS? Are there any good tutorials on how to accomplish that? Any help and pointers would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
capei Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I have, and a close friend of mine has too, without any issues. I cannot imagine it is too different from running on any other web server or platform (I've used apache2 on Linux before as well, without issues). As long as IIS and PHP are installed on the machine, and you either have MySQL installed on the same machine, or a remote machine with it, it's usually as simple as uploading the files to a web server directory, making the appropriate directories/files writable as instructed by the "System Check" during IPS installation, and going from there. Hope that helps.
