I have IPS 4.2 with some sub forums. My community is about pinball and there are some pinball-leagues with there own

(closed) groups. Can I convert these groups to clubs with adrianos club plugin?

If I read it correct, the club "admin" can add and delete users from his club? is this correct?

With clubs, there is no need for me as admin to make changes in the user rights of the forum (like now without clubs)?

if by GROUPS you mean FORUMS, yes.

NOTE: Clubs doesn't has subcategories/subforums, so you will need to create one "feature" per subforum.

A group has an OWNER (the one who created it), leaders, moderators and members. Community Admins and Club Owners can add members. You can also INVITE people (default feature).

Clubs doesn't has permissions lilke Forums has. If a club is CLOSED, then only people who makes part of it, will be able to view/read its content.

This means:

If a sub forum has more "categories" like "Events", "Tournamemts", "Appointments" I have to create 3 Clubs???

No. A club with 3 features. In a simple way, feature is a "forum" (from Forums app). See:

 

Your subforums would have to be like that: one feature per subforum.

Subforum is "Küste-Intern

Below the users in this Sub.Forum

"Mitspieler" "Spieltage"... are Sub categories in this forum

Will all the posts and categories convert to a club with your addon?

If you convert the forum Spieltage to a club feature, all the 1.017 posts will be moved to the Spieltage feature club. It won't appear in the index anymore.

But yes, you have 5 forums, then you have a club with 5 features.

Only a note here: Clubs doesn't has subcategories due to the way IPS made it. It has nothing to do with my plugin.

So I have to convert "Mitspieler" as feature 1 of the club "Küste", "Spieltage" as feature 2 of the club "Küste", "An- und Verkauf" as feature 3 of the club "Küste" and so on???

This works automatically with your addon? The users will kill me if posts are lost....

Then I create 5 features (Mitspieler, Spieltage....)

Then I use your addon to convert the posts to the features?

 

Is there manual for the addon downloadable anywhere?

No. It will prompt a club selection:

Choose a club and click in the button.

Well, no one else had any issue so far with it. If you are insecure, you can do the IPS way: move EACH topic to the club. It works too.

No. After create the club, go to Forums on Admin CP:

Click and choose a club; it will create a feature with the same forum name.

No. This is not a rocket science. Just install and use it.

I create a (private) club. Now I got this hint:

This club has not been approved yet

Until a moderator approves this club, only you can see it.

Where can I set that only admins (not Mods or Members) can create new clubs?

ACP -> Members -> edit Admin group -> Social tab -> Clubs -> Can create clubs?.

It doesn't convert POSTS! It convert FORUMS into FEATURES!
