Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Josiah Wallingford Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The default emoticons are broken, all of the images show as broken. How can I solve this?
Cyboman Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Not a very detailed error description... Check if the /emoticons/ folder in your file system is at the right place and has the emoticons pictures in it. Try clearing your cache in ACP -> support -> "something is wrong"
Josiah Wallingford Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 I see all of the files here: admin/install/emoticons and in here /uploads/emoticons Doing the "something is wrong" did not resolve the issue. I had emoticons set to store on Amazon S3 in the system. I tried changing that back to use the ones in the filesystem and it is still broken. It is just the default emoticons that are doing this. All the other emoticons I have uploaded (after this issue came up) are showing just fine.
Bluto Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Right click on one of the broken images (in the acp) and open image in new tab / window and see: 1. Where it's pulling them from. 2. What the exact error you're getting: 400, 404, 500, etc. That might give you some insight on what is happening.
