jair101 Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Up until now my premium memberships were handed manually - I get the money via paypal, I upgrade the member group of the user and try to monitor when it expires. I will now automate this process via Commerce. My issue is with migrating the people that are already subscribers, can I somehow add them to premium subscription? Is generating a "Paid" invoice enough to do it?
Rhett Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 If this is all done with PayPal, they would have to process the purchase of the subscription and agree to the billing agreement. You could manually add the invoice for the subscription, they can then check out and agree/pay etc though.

I am basically asking if there is any way to assign a premium subscription to a user manually?

You could do this, it would not be a paypal subscription though, and it would not auto pay in the future, in order for that to happen, they would have to process a new package in commerce, using the paypal billing agreements payment method. You can create an invoice on any account for any package you would like, and also mark it paid, it would not be linked to any paypal subscription or billing agreement though.
