I don't know why customers should know the weight and size of a product, these are info more useful for a shipping company.

Would like to write whatever i want in that field

They are to further information like shipment. This will impact the final cost.

I Dont know how many need it, I personally dont want this. It would be more useful to be able to write something there

a lot of stores do this... for example BestBuy lists dimensions and weight for a lot of their products (same with amazon).

Also comes in handy with regards to shipping rates as can be done based on size of letter or parcel etc.

OK... how about others that don't need that because the size and weight is irrelevant for them.

We are stuck with this nasty picture  instead of writing about shipping rates

At least it shouldn't show if all values are 0
