Two questions about the streams in All Activity

I have two questions about the activity stream:

• Is it possible to remove topics (from the forums) and articles (from Pages) from the main activity stream?
• Is it possible to use a custom stream for the default All Activity page?

Nope.

Nope.
But unless it’s your site homepage, you can just remove the All Activity link from the menu and link to a custom feed instead.

That's a shame, but thanks! Hopefully IPS will give is some more options in the future. 

Another question: In the stream, is it possible to automatically condense or hide status messages (and replies) that are really long or contains embedded content? Some of my users write essay-long status messages that pretty much fill the entire Stream page. 

It would be helpful if we could decide a character/word limit before the content was cut off and replaced with a read/show more link.
