Insert Existing Attachment

I have question regarding an image being used in a topic, and at a later date, the image is used via "Insert Existing Attachment".

Here is the scenario, I create a topic (Y), and I upload in image and insert it into that topic. Now that topic was created a year ago by now, and at a later date, I create another topic (Z), and I use the "Insert Existing Attachment" feature for my new topic, I chose the same image that is being used in topic (Y).

All is good, but, few months later, I come across topic (Y), and I find that I want to delete that entire topic. So I do. It's gone now.

Does the image I used via "Insert Existing Attachment" for topic (Z) disappear as well from topic (Z)?

All the images attached you can see in 'My Attachments'. There you see  location of the used images.

When you delete all topics that have your image - in 'My Attachments' your image will exist without location.
