Status updates

Hi,

I've activated the activity stream on my site and configured it to show only status updates as I want it to behave like FB and Linkedin. But, Where is the field for writing status updates? That should be on top of the stream right?

Writing status updates is in your profile.  It won't be on the Activity Stream.  

The Activity Stream cannot duplicate Facebook's feed.  It's entirely passive -- the content discovery is to direct you to the other IP.Apps where you generate content.  It's not meant to be active -- where you can like, comment, and post directly into the stream.    

I know what you want, and the IPS Activity Stream will never function like that.
