Add a note to a post

Seeking a plug that front I can add a note's post.

Each post in the topic should have the option of adding a separate memo from a moderator or admin.

Has anyone seen such a plug?

I use the edit feature personally and enter the note in the reason, which are viewable only to admins/moderators.

I'm looking for something that will display the message author of a post.

If you need to communicate to the author of the post only and privately, why not PM? Just trying to understand your need.
