Hi All,

1) When adding multiple Tags to a topic, why it does not allow comma separated tag list ? If I add one by one, it accepts, but if I add a list of tags that are comma separated, it does not.

For eg, if I want to add below 3 tags in one shot, what should I do ?

java analyst, oracle dba, php coder

2) When I add a 2 word TAG, why does IPB display %20 between the words ? Doesn't it hamper SEO ?

For eg, java analyst tag gets displayed as java%20analyst

In other softwares I have seen a character being inserted instead of space.

For eg,

vBulletin inserts a + symbol, (java+analyst)

Wordpress inserts a - symbol between the words. (java-analyst)

When you press comma do the words not automatically appear as a tag? Also, what are your tag settings?

If I press comma after each tag, then its ok. but for that I have to enter tags one-by-one.

the problem is when I have 10 tags that are comma separated (and copy-pasted from a text file), then it wont recognize them.

The event (comma key press) must be captured. That's what convert text to tag. IPS could try to run same function when lefting that field. Probably would do the trick.

Yes. .

Currently if I enter below, it converts into 1 tag ignoring the commas in between. I feel its a bug.

java, oracle, php - gets converted to one big tag like below

java oracle php
