Post Specific Database Record Field into Forum Topic

There is a basic option to create a new topic in the forums, every time a new record is added to the database. 

By default, the field labeled "content" in the database is the only field that is posted into the new topic on the forums. 

How would I go about deciding which record fields show up in the forum post?

 

For example, I'd love for the forum topic to include only the database/record field called "teaser" with the read more link - as opposed to the fully story.

For further clarification - I'm wanting to customize what get's automatically posted to the forums as a new topic, when one of my writers submits a new record (article) to the IP.Pages app.
