emails aren't being sent and received

I wanted to send Christmas greeting emails out and ever since the update the system isn't working.

once I submit, one minute later it says completed and done. I checked two of my email accounts and nothing for a hour. Day later I tried again and still nothing. Same problem again when I submitted.

Have you checked the members settings (admincp >> members >> members >> far right of member name click the edit button >> notifications tab

Believe this is usually set to 'off' by default ... if so then likely that is why no emails sent/received
