December 12, 20195 yr Author Ho ho ho! Snow has been updated to 1.3.2! It now works properly with IPS 4.4. Happy holidays!
December 15, 20195 yr Thank you!, I have an issue with it not displaying on my site though? Is there a setting I need to change once I have instelled them as you talk about settings for the plugin however I cannot find them in the ACP? Site URL: https://kingsrealm.net/ Edit, nevermind I found it XD and it works now thanks 😄 Edited December 15, 20195 yr by lostking329
December 15, 20195 yr Bug Report, when the snow is enabled some of it gets stuck on the center of the screen? Edit: Also the Snow when it reaches the bottom of the page begins to infinatly expand the vertical size of the window instead of getting to bottom of the page and disapearing Edited December 15, 20195 yr by lostking329
December 16, 20195 yr Author Hi @lostking329, these are known issues. I didn't write the original JavaScript, and I can't offer support for it. I can only get it working as a plugin for IPS. You can work around the "infinite scrolling" bug by limiting it to display only in the header. The "stuck flakes" occurs fairly rarely, but if you turn off some of the animation options (such as follow mouse, etc.) you can avoid it most of the time. Sorry I can't be of more help.
December 17, 20195 yr Author I'm sorry, I meant disabling the "snow sticks" option and/or the "melt" and "twinkle" effects. It's ossible to disable the mouse follow, but I haven't exposed that in the settings window (yet).
December 20, 20195 yr I'm running Invision version 4.4.9.1 and I'm having an issue (in Snow version 1.3.2) where the snow doesn't stop at the bottom of the page. It continues falling forever and causes the browser window (Chrome) to infinitely extend downwards to accommodate the flakes. This happens on the default theme. Snow version 1.3.1 works fine.

Known issue, a good workaround is to limit the snow to just the header of your forum. See the settings window, I explain how to do this there. Try experimenting with other target CSS class elements, too.

Could it be something else? 1.3.1 works fine on 4.4.9.1 Edited December 20, 20195 yr by waccoe.com
November 26, 20204 yr Author I've submitted the new version of this, with 4.5 support tagged, today. Given the US holiday I expect this to be available next week. If anyone needs it sooner, please PM me.
November 28, 20213 yr Will it be updated again? It seems to be working, but I suspect others won't be able to install it. Thanks
November 30, 20213 yr Author Our site hasn't gotten up to 4.6, sadly, because some of the plugins we like still haven't been ported. This means I don't have a test bed to work with, but, I'll try re-uploading for 4.6 and see what happens. Anyone who wants a copy to load directly is welcome to PM me.
February 17, 20222 yr Author File re-uploaded with 4.6 support after checking on our test site for compatibility.
October 27, 20222 yr Author Absolutely! In fact, this weekend I am dealing with 4.7 stuff on our dev instance and expect to get through validating this and the Xmas Lights plugins work.

November 14, 20222 yr Author New version posted - now with a proper fix for the infinite scrolling bug when targetting ipsLayout_body. I actually patched this back in 2015, but for some reason the patch never made its way into the upload. ipsLayout_body is once again the default target for the snow.
