Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
icedream Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Hello, It seems that only vimeo and youtube support ssl, and youtube video embed by IPS is still using http instead of https. On my site, non-ssl video is totally blocked, and browsers(Chrome, Edge and Firefox) doesn't shows any option for me to show unsecure content. For people who is using https, how do you deal with this problem?

I just tested it here in the test forum. Even if deliberately take the “s” out of the YouTube URL and post it in the editor, it will be embedded using https. The browser blocking is, well, browser blocking. That’s not something that the community software can change.

Do you serve your site both on http and https? Or have you recently changed over to https and you are talking about content posted before? Or all content, even new one?
icedream Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 I have been using full site ssl for months, but I didn't post video before. I just post video today and find it is blocked by my browser. For your information, I did have many non-secure pictures posted, and they were shown pretty well, Firefox changes from green icon to orange icon though.......However video is inserted by iframe, thus Firefox reports my page secured and block iframe content. I have to click the button near the green icon to unblock video content, few people will notice that button..Is this a normal case? As I remember that in this site, Firefox will ask if showing mixed content in a much more attractive way, the prompt "show unsecure content" is at the bottom of the page. 40 minutes ago, opentype said: Maybe, but haven’t really figured out what you are describing.
