Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Sam Palfery Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Hi All, I have IPS 4, I'm pasting a soundclound link into a post, hitting return, then the soundcloud player appears correctly but when I got to post I get an error: Sorry, there is a problem Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: EX2 Contact Us
Sam Palfery Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Anyone know the cause of this...?
Nathan Explosion Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 What version of IPS 4? What is the soundcloud link? Does the same thing happen on here?
Sam Palfery Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Above it sucessfully posted, I literally just purchased IPS community suite 4, not sure where to check exactly what version it is.
Sam Palfery Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 Anyone help please? EDIT: I also get the same error when trying to embed youtube links....this is frustrating.

Nathan Explosion Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Thanks - do you have any plugins installed on IPS?
Sam Palfery Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 User group coloration and a Guest message plugin. I see you posted via the test account and the link did not embed.
Nathan Explosion Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 The link wasn't intended to embed, I left it as that intentionally. Suggest you wait for support (I assume you've already raised a ticket on this one) as it has probably got something in the logs directing to the cause of this. If you want to provide me with ftp access to your uploads folder then I can take a closer look there.

I've tried to see if the plugins or theme are the issue, tried with the stock theme and stuff and it's still not working, still receiving the same error. I have submitted a ticket now.
Nathan Explosion Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Didn't expect it to be either of those plugins - they don't touch the post submission. Nor the theme - that's out of the equation when you submit it. Definitely something in the backend. Once they figure it out, update here please (still happy to look at the logs at any point)

Sam Palfery Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 Zzzzz...does anyone know why I'm getting this error.....
