Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
TIPF Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I have members that make small contributions to the running costs of the forum and I would like to give them some kind of recognition: i.e. A badge of some sort. I appreciate I can set up a new group with a badge but I have contributors that are staff members, so their Moderator group icon overrides any other group they are in. Any ideas most welcome?
Michael R Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Every time someone donates any amount, I post a thank you reply to a running thread with their name and their profile photo. Other members then jump in to thank their fellow member. It is a great way to recognize members who support the community. It also acts as an intensive for others to donate. I have several members now who have donating on autopilot - sending us a small amount every month.

That is something I'm looking into but I would really like some kind of banner displayed if at all possible. My final option would be to add the banner to a members signature.

Paul.F Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 There is also a plugin that will show banners of select secondary groups. So if a member is promoted to a secondary group due to their donation you can show a banner. I have and it works very well.
