Kirill N Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I would like to have some forums use pre-defined tags, while others have an open tagging system. Is it not possible?
Jed Rosenzweig Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 There's a 3.x plugin called Advanced Tags & Prefixes and lets you define what tags/prefixes you can use and which member groups can use them on a per forum basis. I believe the author has said they are going to update for 4.0.
ZakRhyno Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 @Ryan H. has already updated the spp to 4.0 What is SPP?
Ryan H. Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 What is SPP? App. As Kevin said, the app is out, for both 3.x and 4.x. It'll let you do what you want. Thanks guys.
Kirill N Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Thanks for the responses everyone but this is really something that should be doable without a plugin. At least there should be an option to make tags closed/open by app.Right now I have closed tags on my forums (just like this site), because letting users write their own tags would be messy and inconsistent. However, for my Pages articles I want to have an open system, because I choose the tags myself, and, for example, for any post about the UK I would have a "UK" tag, so that when someone lands on such article, they will also see other UK-related posts in "Similar content" = more engagement. @Matt @Lindy

As well as the minimum/maximum setting.https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/410926-why-is-this-global-and-not-per-forum-per-area-of-content/
