File Storage Settings

There is a list of file storage settings but there is no indication as which of these will spawn their own additional sub directories for files at the specified path, or if they create a selfnamed directory at the desired path for files.

(example - Profile Photos creates a directory called "profile" - where as emoticons does not) 

  • Theme Resources 
  • Advertisements
  • Custom Profile Fields
  • Attachments
  • Profile Photos
  • Emoticons
  • CMS Records
  • CMS Pages
  • IP.Board Forum Icons
  • Blog Cover Photos
  • IP.Blog Entries
  • IP.Download Entries
  • IP.Download Custom Fields
  • IP.Download Files
  • IP.Download Screenshots
  • IP.Gallery Images
  • IP.Calendar Event Cover Photos
  • Customer Fields
  • Package Groups
  • Customer-Uploaded Advertisements
  • Support Requests Custom Fields
  • Referral Banners
  • Product Images

I would suggest some visual organization by product too: - observations as noted

RESOURCES

  • Theme Resources  folders are created for themes, css, javascript etc.
  • Emoticons folder is not created

MEMBERS

  • Custom Profile Fields
  • Profile Photos a profile folder is created

CMS

  • CMS Records
  • CMS Pages

BLOG

  • Blog Cover Photos
  • IP.Blog Entries

FORUM & COMMENTS & CONTENT

  • IP.Board Forum Icons
  • Attachments a folder is created monthly_MM_YYYY - would be better to be monthly_YYYY_MM (better for sorting)

DOWNLOADS

  • IP.Download Entries
  • IP.Download Custom Fields
  • IP.Download Files
  • IP.Download Screenshots

GALLERY

  • IP.Gallery Images ​directories are created album_##

CALENDAR

  • IP.Calendar Event Cover Photos

COMMERCE

  • Advertisements directory is not created 
  • Customer Fields
  • Package Groups
  • Customer-Uploaded Advertisements  directory is not created 
  • Support Requests Custom Fields
  • Referral Banners  directory is not created 
  • Product Images
