My forum is focused on motorcycle rides/events where RSVP is very useful. 

Calendar is somehow OK, but it's not exactly the right tool and missing some advantages of forum posting.

I've got a hook that repost calendar events on the forum but couldn't find anything that would do this other way around.

At the moment I just add a link to the calendar manually. 

Is it possible to add date option when creating a topic that will automatically show the event in the calendar?

I like it. Good idea. My forum it's for movies and the possibility to add date in the topic it's awesome for me for add a release date for a movie and for automatically add in the calendar. 

So I want it too 

In your case it's even more important. I can add few events manually but adding every single movie premiere it's a lot of work and more complicated transfer from calendar to related topic.
