Ok so at first I wasn't overly keen on the new IPB4, but the more I tinker on it I am actually liking it.My issues though are, mainly aimed at the mobile side of things.
I'm out most of the time so being able to access my site and have

There are a few things ide like IPB to add/change are:

PC View
1: "Allow a "new line" instead of a paragraph On Mobiles"
Might not seem like much to a lot of you and it may very well be just me but I like to present my posts in a certain way that they appeal somewhat.
I find it looks neater and is better brought to peoples attention.
Like this post for example, I can't lay it out like this on a mobile.
On a mobile it would look like this:

Mobile View of Same Post

On a mobile it would look like this:

^ This to me is pretty poorly constructed and looks messy and is a waste of space meaning more scrolling.

This is an alternative which ide also prefer not to do, and that's not to add breaks and cramp it all together (like the bug reports "comment" are) like this:

^ The reason I don't like this method is because on a mobile you don't have much of a screen to look at as it is and having to cramp everything like the above is annoying and again it's messy and lacks finesse & appeal

2: Allowing "Last Post info" on "landscape view" (Mobile)
Not having this function I think will actually result in a decrease of members/content posted.
I find the new way now is to "follow" everything which can be annoying

Hopefully these images can help explain my point a little:

Straight away without following a topic I can see potential topics I MIGHT be interested in and I don't have to visit a forum to see if there is anything interesting beforehand.

Again, I can see topics I might be interested in without having to visit the forum and look around

This is where I lose interest :/
The font etc is spot on and is very nice to read, but im not interested.
I have to like/know the avatar to be interested, and even if I was I can't instantly go to that topic with 1 press/click, and if I do click the avatar it takes me to the profile, not the topic.

This is where I can see members leaving the site or not being interested due to the mobile side of things lacking. There are still users via PC etc but a lot of users now are using mobiles and usability is a huge thing for me.

From what ive seen vB are the only ones who allow this function and it saddens me as I would love to use IPS4.

I hope these at least get considered as I think these 2 ideas alone would benefit IPB customers greatly

That's pretty well thought out feedback. It is, however, in the wrong place.

Feedback regarding 4.0 should be posted on the Feedback forum on the 4.0 preview site. It may still be seen here, but has a greater likelihood of being missed as this isn't where devs are looking for 4.0 feedback.

EDIT: Charles beat me to it!

I would tend to agree the description of a forum is fairly irrelevant if space is limited, and that the mobile view would be better focussed on the actual content that is being generated, rather than a static descriptive message.

I see your point but I think ide prefer a site that was easy to get around and has good functionality
Just look at the excess of space used just for a post.
It could be managed better. Just by not allowing a new line via mobile the post is double, if not more than doubled.
I find that counter productive, I don't want to be scrolling for days on end to get to the end of a post :/
