Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
IPTV Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Hi All...(Hope this is OK to post here.) Well, I am coming today to see if I can find someone that can help with my server config. While I am not new to communities and server etc, I just do not have the time to put into adding items needed and setting a good config. Server is an 8 core Intel® Xeon® CPU X3450 @ 2.67GHz, 16 gigs RAM, and two 15K drives. Running WHM/Cpanel Server is more or less dedicated to http://DBSTalk.com though it does have some other small personal sites on it. Server Version: Apache/2.2.24 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.24 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/5.4.14 MySQL 5.0.96 Running XCache Server seems to run fine, however, I just happen to start to get reports of slow downs for some reason. http://www.dbstalk.com/topic/206081-intermittent-site-hang-lockup/ So, well, I did make one change and I am waiting for reports back. But that got me to thinking that maybe I should have someone do some work on this server just to help it. (Set key buffers etc.) I am not sure we have table locks happening or what. I was also thinking Sphinx install would be nice. So, if interested, please drop me a note with some background and also pricing and lets see what can happen. Dmacleo Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Hey Dave, try apache 2.4 in easyapache with event mpm the exim delayed inserts I was a cpanel bug that was fixed late last year, may have cropped up again. was a way to disable eximstats tailwatchd logs iirc but I forget details and iirc sql 55 helped with that too but don't quote me.
