m3rk0rd Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I noticed that when two topics are merged, all the tags from each topic are applied to the merged topic, even if they are the same, which can result in two or more identical tags being applied to the same (newly merged) topic. It would be nice if the merge function could check and remove duplicate tags.
AndyF Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I'd (almost) consider that a bug myself. I'll post a quick report about it so a dev can confirm if this is actually intended or not.
Ryan H. Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Definitely a bug if that is indeed the behavior. Tags are meant to be unique per topic.
shaks Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 It's a bug. Who knows when it'll be fixed.
m3rk0rd Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 The bug reports: http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-34475-overlapped-tags-repeated-when-topics-are-merged and http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-34863-doubled-tags-after-merging-topics-with-identical-tags
AndyF Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Yes have marked my report as a duplicate as it is, the 'real' report is the first link you posted.
