Robert Simons Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 released a quick patch update to fix the template issues with 3.3 ... will work on both 3.2 and 3.3 IP.Content users take special note to the installation notes as 2.3.0 has a hook that directly effects ProMenu and needs to be disabled if anyone has issues with it displaying after that..try uninstalling and reinstalling the primary display hook .. as I had to do this on the demo .. why is baffling as the hook has not been changed
GoGators Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 After uninstalling/reinstalling, and after disabling the IP Contenty navbar as suggested above, I was able to get the menus to start showing up. The problem I am experiencing now is that the drop down menus no longer work properly, and the "Tabs" do not stay highlighted as shown in my image below.

Robert Simons Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 I am still not able to get this working. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the hook and i dont get to see the menus I'll look at it now if you have time..if so PM me After uninstalling/reinstalling, and after disabling the IP Contenty navbar as suggested above, I was able to get the menus to start showing up. The problem I am experiencing now is that the drop down menus no longer work properly, and the "Tabs" do not stay highlighted as shown in my image below. same as above
Robert Simons Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 both issues resolved .. one being a theme issue the other being a hook issue not sure why but the primary display hook gets boinked during the upgrade in some cases (most likely related to IPC and the hook) for those having that issue..disable the hook mentioned in the documentation..uninstall the primary display hook and reinstall it from the source files I will look into a better method .. until then this should keep everyone up and running
Robert Simons Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Attention All Clients new version (quick patch) released ... now there are two different versions within the download ... one for 3.2 and one for 3.3 ... also fixed the conflict issue with IP.Navigation and its hook ... you can now have it enabled (if desired ... use it in junction with promenu) with no ill effects
Bernabe Guerra Jr. Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 With 3.3 I disabled the IPC hook and enabled Enable Custom Menu Features and I get the fatal error below. Am i missing something in the settings area? Just bought it 09.30 pm CT. I also did rebuild and still nothing. I had to go back to settings and disable custom menu features. Fatal error: Call to a member function nav_menus() on a non-object in /home/themotorpool/public_html/forum/hooks/globalProMenuNavDisplay_62a2b5ae3d9e00948853e25acde316e2.php on line 50 Ben

Bernabe Guerra Jr. Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 It's 1.1.4 .. I enabled IP.Content Menu Bar v1.0.0 and still the same. Do I need to do something that I'm not doing right under settings?
Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 issue resolved...was that nasty little skin bug..go figure LOL
Escort Cabriolet Club Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I currently have the skin issue where menu is not displaying. I dont have IP Content so the part about removing the hook doesnt apply :(
Dmacleo Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 huh just updated app and no menu in anything except stock skin. the content hook is disabled but that did not effect either way. iirc was soemthing that had to be done to custom skins but I cannot find it now. will try uninstall-reinstall to seeuninstall the primary display hook and reinstall it from the source files I am having huge brain freeze, can you explain that as I am being super stoooopid today :(
Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 I currently have the skin issue where menu is not displaying. I dont have IP Content so the part about removing the hook doesnt apply  this issue resolved ... seems 3.3 users w/o content are having issues with the primary display..if this happens too you .. uninstall the primary hook and reinstall it from the 3.2 package I will be looking into why this is happening and find a better solution

Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 that would be this correct? how do we import older one, just upload the older one from adminapplications_addonotherpromenuxmlhooks? ProMenu: Primary Navigation Display Tool edit: uploading that one did not work for me odd..I would have to come in and see it personally pm me

Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Attention All Clients!!!! 1.1.5 released (for 3.3 users only) ... this should resolve all issues ppl have been experiencing ... 3.2 users stick with 1.1.4 (both in the download section and labeled accordingly)
kotaco Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I upgraded to 1.1.5 for 3.3 and my menu's gone. Not sure whay happened, tried recache and rebuild, no luck yet.
Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 ok .. pm me..we'll discuss how to look at it
Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 another heads up everyone....with the release of 3.3 .. the primary display hook point has changed .. if your testing this application out on a skin that isn't 3.3 ready .. no menus will display .. so check all installs on the default board theme
Dmacleo Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 yup need to wait on skin author, until then can use the 3.2 v1.4 hook
kotaco Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 yup need to wait on skin author, until then can use the 3.2 v1.4 hook I also reverted back to the 1.4 version and it's working properly. I'm using the IPB default skin.
Robert Simons Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 I also reverted back to the 1.4 version and it's working properly. I'm using the IPB default skin. I'm betting you've made some change to the global template at some time..if you revert it..I bet your menus will quit displaying..meaning you should be running 1.1.5
