Adriano Faria Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 File Name: (SOS31) Ajaxed Online ListFile Submitter: Adriano FariaFile Submitted: 09 Apr 2011File Category: Hooks and Plugins This hook will update board index online list in X seconds using ajax.Settings:Seconds to update the listHow many times the list can be updated (to avoid unnecessary resources usage)Groups allowed to have theirs board index online list updatedCompatibility:IP.Board 3.1.XClick here to download this file
lonewolfe2015 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Will this just ajaxify the names of board members, or the names and their groups? If it does not include their groups, would it be possible to add a second line underneath the names for groups currently accessing the forums as well with their formatting in the display? Been looking for a hook like that for a longgggg time.
Adriano Faria Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 Their groups ? Didn't understand what you mean. Online list only show member's name!
lonewolfe2015 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Darn... What I was referring to was a hook which would display the corresponding group name for the members online. Rather than use a static legend for forums, it would be an ajax legend that constantly changes with the active groups present on the forums. That way group masks which look similar can be differentiated further, and those of us with a long list of masks don't have a huge legend. This is a great first step towards what I've been looking for though, thanks.
broni Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Great hook :) I have a question regarding 2nd setting:specify how many times the list will be updated Is it how many times, while I'm logged in, or....?
Adriano Faria Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 No, say you go to board index and go away do something else... to avoid that useless resource, it will update X times and will stop. If you go to index again, it will start counting again.
broni Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 One more question.... I can see, that the list at the bottom of index pages changes nicely. This is how it looks at this very moment: The list doesn't change in "Active users" sidebar hook: As you can see, "Yahoo", which was present in the first list disappeared nicely, when "Yahoo" left, but it's still present in 2nd list. Anything that can be done about it?
Adriano Faria Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 it's possible to show only member of certain groups? This is related to IP.Board, not to this hook. Go to manage groups and hide this group from online list... If I'm not mistaken, there's a setting for this.
Isoka Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 thank's i've another question adriano: this hook is compatible with this other hook (Staff Members Online) made by you...
Adriano Faria Posted May 15, 2011 Author Posted May 15, 2011 thank's i've another question adriano: this hook is compatible with this other hook (Staff Members Online) made by you... No... it updates only the default DIV; this other hook uses another DIV. But I will make it compatible for 3.2 when is out.
Adriano Faria Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 Ok, Now I need to find some time... It will be updated asap.

Adriano Faria Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Yes, started to work on this yesterday. But there's a tiny change in template for 3.2.X that I don't know if it will work. I'll need to make some tests...
