Guest Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 File Name: Tweet ButtonFile Submitter: DanFile Submitted: 14 Sep 2010File Updated: 16 Sep 2010File Category: Hooks and Plugins This hook adds support for Twitter's new Tweet button, in the same place as the Facebook "Like" button. It also comes with two settings, to set the "content via" Twitter account, and the "content related" Twitter account, which can be found under the "Twitter Connect" setting group.Click here to download this file
glorify Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Two things, 1, How can you align left instead of right and 2, I get the attached screen when tweeting:
glorify Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I got the answer to the first question, but the url problem I haven't fixed...
glorify Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Found a fix. In Settings: Search Engine Optimization Friendly URL Features URL Type had to be set to Path Info
AlexJ Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 If you're using PHP as an Apache module you can use 'path info' or you can use 'query string' if you're on Windows hosting or using PHP as a CGI module. Not sure? Use 'query_string'. Since, I am using PHP as an Apache module, I am using 'query string'. I am getting, 'url' parameter does not contain a valid URL error.
Guest Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Since, I am using PHP as an Apache module, I am using 'query string'. I am getting, 'url' parameter does not contain a valid URL error. Hi, are you able to PM me a link to a topic on your site that causes this error?
glorify Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 I racked my brains on that. Did a Google search and found it was an issue with Twitter's API. I was lucky to find the solution on my end.
AlexJ Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Hi, are you able to PM me a link to a topic on your site that causes this error? Thank you for fast reply! I appreciate it! I have PM'd you required info.
Guest Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Okay I've had a look at the invalid URL issue and discovered that it is infact an issue with Twitter not the hook. I've submitted a ticket with them. For the time being, this hook will not work if you're using the Query String URL format in IP.Board.
Jaeson Vergara Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Found a fix. In Settings: Search Engine Optimization Friendly URL Features URL Type had to be set to Path Info Work fine with Path info, Tyvm.
garyopa Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 90% of the time it doesn't work on my site. As an admin, i see both the retweet button and the facebook like button. Members only see one or the other and sometimes nothing at all where both should normally sit. Guests cannot see the twitter button at all.
Zyuu Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Does not work for ip.content; does not appear in the news articles etc. Also need the option to place it on the top of topics, rather than the bottom. Thanks
Internetwerkt Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Works well for me using query string in IPboard and IPblog Thanks. But because the boardname is rather long I wanted to leave out the boardname. How can I do that? And where? Thanks
Eric Allione Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I just installed it on 3.3.4 but the button didn't show up on IE, Chrome, or Firefox. I didn't make any changes though in case you have any suggestions. Disabling it for now.
