Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
chilihead Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 When you receive no results in search, and click Advanced, it defaults to a Help search. Can the default please stay the area that was being searched? My users click advanced to broaden the search and end up searching Help files. Thanks
chilihead Posted July 20, 2010 Author Posted July 20, 2010 Actually it happens even if there is a search performed. Perform search on forum > Results displayed > Click advanced icon, and it defaults to Help Files. Is this a setting, or bug? Thanks
TCWT Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I wish it defaulted to search forums ALL the time. 99% of all searches are for that.
chilihead Posted July 20, 2010 Author Posted July 20, 2010 True but it makes sense to default to the application you are in. However always defaulting to Help Files in Advanced after a search must be a bug. I'm reporting now.
bfarber Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 No, it's not a bug. Yes, it's a good idea to change it even though it's not a bug.
chilihead Posted December 31, 2010 Author Posted December 31, 2010 I would like to see this implemented I still end up searching help files by mistake. Thanks
