Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Clickfinity Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Is it just me who doesn't see the sense in "An Error Occurred" when there are no search results to return. It's not an error at all - it's just a lack of results. I just know some of my members are going to be freaked out by this and report it as a problem. Can't we have something like "No results found" instead? Perhaps with the advice to try again with different words / settings? Thanks, Shaun :D PS. Apologies if this has been mentioned/discussed before!!
bfarber Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 When there are no search results, you don't get an error. You get a search results screen that says "no results found". http://screencast.com/t/NzBjNzU0YzE
Clickfinity Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 Ah, right, yes ... well ... I hadn't realised where I was ... I was on the tracker; which does give an error when there is no search result. Sorry, my mistake. <hangs head in shame> Cheers, Shaun
