Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Ramuhitsuji Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Ok I am going to try to explain this situation as best as I can and hopefully there will be a solution to it. I am from a quite popular forum and recently it switched over to IPB3. The problem is that if you are a CL of part of the board you can't view your own rating/warn status logs. Here's a quick overview of how the board is set up: King of Kings: founder of the forums and the boss. King: the bosses of the forums and can do anything. S-Mod: Can see all boards and is basically a king. Can ban people. Mod: Can see all boards. can't ban people only suspend. Senior Mem: can edit their own topics and delete other peoples posts with in it. Members: newbies of the forums. CL's can be any of these people but only can moderate certain sections of the board. Currently only moderator and up can see rating/warn status logs but if you are a member and not a CL you can see your own rating/warn status logs. Is there a way that an update can be done to enable everyone to view their own rating/warn status logs? p.s. A mod can feel free to move this if I put it in the wrong spot.
Ramuhitsuji Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 I do not mean on a post. I mean on your account. Rating/warn status is something that a moderator gives you when you do a good job in the community or takes away when you break rules.
Wolfie Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Ah okay. I see rating, I think reputation. I kind of ignored the 'warn' part.
Zero Omega Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Are you an admin of the forum? You can allow members to view their own warning level and reasons. It's under system settings on the member tab, click warning and moderation. You'll find the setting there.
Ramuhitsuji Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 I am not. I have heard that it is a bug for those that moderate only a section of the forum. My friend who is a member can view their own warning logs but I am unable to because I CL a board.
Zero Omega Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Talk to one of your admins then, they should be able to adjust the settings, they're already there. But only an admin can decide these things.
Ramuhitsuji Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 The problem has been going on for months and none of them know how to fix it. That is why I am asking about it here.
