Hi, i was testing IPB 3.0 Beta 5 when i saw that in Bulk Mailer dissapeared the option to:
Honor 'Allow admin to email me' member setting to only email those who have opted in?

I really need this option, as i am no spammer. I hate spammers.

No, the way it works is that unless you are accepting admin emails, you will not get them. :)

Admin side, you are not able to override the user setting.

Doing that could land your entire site on spam blacklists; all it would take is a few of those people reporting it. The CAN-SPAM Act requires that users be able to opt out of messages, regardless of their nature.

I understood "I need this option" as "I need the ability to uncheck this option". It hadn't occurred to me that you might think that option was automatically disabled now.

Many admins, including those on our own hosting, would opt not to honor the setting. Users naturally then report the email as spam. The entire server gets blacklisted. Hosts, including our hosting department, aren't too fond of entire servers being blacklisted because an admin decided to override their user's options - so we've removed the option.

Better for the user, better for the host, and reasonable for the admin.
