IPB Beta 2 Package does not work

Hello,
i have just download the beta 2 but i don't can install than. Because there is no install file for the forum.
Can someone check this out bei Downloading IPB Beta2 from Client Area

Theres no like windows install, if thats what you mean. Upload to your website, it will auto direct to the installer which is somewhere in the admin folder I think.

You have to upload it to your FTP server then go to: mydomain.com/installpath/install

You can't install it on your computer from the .ZIP file.

ahh thanks iBotPeaches, i have look in the dokumentation and there stand:

Run the installer file through your web browser by entering the URL to it into your browser address bar (if you have followed our example, type in

http://www.domain.com/forums/install/index.php

so i don't have look in the admin folder.



and i know that i cant IPB install under windows or direktly vom the zip file :D ;)

You need to use http://www.domain.com/forums/admin/install to run the installer.

I use WampServer.com just download it then there is more... You need also install IonCube free Loader. You can have offline WampServer and run the board as Privite for testing. Everything comes with Stable PHP 5 and MySQL 5 etc....! Note IPS dose not do techrespond for WampServer but there is threads somewhere you can search for how to get the wamp working. Its a very good 3rd party offline server software.
