Well I guess I was mistaken, apologies. I was sure I had seen someone from IPS (or it might've been an interview with Matt) that 3.0 would be coming up during the first half of 2008.

I heard that too but it was a while ago and I think Dynamic was the cause of the delay of course which can take a year.(And before someone calls me on it yes I know Dynamic is now part of Nexus. )
