BOo FOo HAcker
No, they are running IPB 1.3 which is really out of date.
Maria-C
Yes I know, but is it really not possible to just move the database, or convert it or something???
The Clash
You'd be better off contacting InvisionPlus, or sales@invisionpower.com
atomicknight
Possible? Certainly (assuming you have direct access to the existing data). Worth your time? Maybe not. Moving from less data to more data is fine, but you'll need to figure out which fields correspond and also whether there were any bbCode parsing changes. But sure, it's possible to do if you can export all the data.
bfarber
Um, I'm not sure about InvisionPlus.net (i.e. if they have any customizations to the db structure) but you guys do realize that we DO have an upgrade routine right? If the user purchased a copy of IPB, they'd get 2.3.1. Then they'd just carry the database over to their new host, upload the 2.3 files, and upgrade like normal. Is there something I'm missing? Nobody would be converting, you'd simply be upgrading. That is ENTIRELY possible.
