internext
I thought one of the major updates in 2.3 was the change to login via email address rather than a login name, as evidenced by this change here at the corporate forums. Is this a configurable admin setting that I am missing? I really liked the idea of a change to email login.ThanksEric
Andrew S.
You can already have users login with their e-mail address rather then username, it's in your ACP->Tools & Settings->Display Name Settings, and change the box that says "Log in with user name or e-mail address" to e-mail address. internext
Hi and thanks for responding. Are you sure it is here > ACP->Tools & Settings->Display Name Settings? All I have here are the following 5 options: Allow "Display Names", Prohibit Display Names from selecting Log In names, Maximum Display Name Length, Characters allowed in usernames, and Error Message to Display. Nothing at all about email login options.

Jaggi
it wasn't a update they were going to do in ipb 2.3.0 it was a ips thing because they'd installed nexus and so they changed to sync all their logins together.
Alex Duggan
Tools & Settings -> Log-In Manager -> IPB InternalClick the drop down to edit details and you can change the 'Log In User Name Type' setting.
