ErwinB Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Actually, when you set up an RSS import, you can specify the encoding of the feed. Great. Now, if I want to import an RSS feed in english (lang="en") in a french board (lang="fr"), I'm not able to specify that the imported posts will be in english and not in french. Can you add an option like that for a next release?
Digi Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Um, that would require that IPB come with a translation program. To get a feed in english, you need to find a feed that has text in english.
bfarber Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 IPB just imports the feed - it doesn't translate between languages (and never will).
ErwinB Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I'm not talking about translating the content, I'm talking about being able to specify the language of the content (add something like {content} if I import an english feed for example).
Digi Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I don't even understand what difference that would make or why it is even necessary :S

Digi Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Ah, that totally slipped my mind. Thank you for the references. :D
