I have used IB for years now and pay a simple $69 x 4 for my forums per year but it seems now I have to pay $150 per forum??? so thats $600 a year.. or am i missing something here

I was about to update to 2.2 but if this is the cost I dont think ill bother.

You should have received an email on Oct 12 explaining the change - some of them got caught up in spam filters probably. Your yearly licenses have been switched to the new Standard license in which renewals are $25 every 6 months.

It will be $200 per year if you own 4 forums, wheras previously it would've been $279.80
The only difference will be, rather than paying $69.95 per forum per year, you now pay $25 per forum per 6 months
