How about adding something in the Board Statistics, where "# anonymous users" is, add "# active users". I think this could be helpful if you want to keep track of your active users you have on your site.

I think the OP means number of users who are "active" in the sense that they have logged in within the last x weeks/months. Personally, I consider this information superfluous though.
