Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Genestoy Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 How does a member know which editor they have toggled to? Clicking on the rotating arrow icon just changes between the editors but there is no indication of which one is being used (of course admins can figure out which one). Shouldn't there be something that says "Standard Mode" and "Rich Text Mode"? ;)
UBERHOST.NET Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 How does a member know which editor they have toggled to?The "Toggle HTML Source" button appears only in WYSIWYG mode, plus of course you see the effects of bold, italics, etc, instead of the BBCode. Having said that, I do agree with you and Mesmer that it should be clearer to the user.
Mark Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Yeah, there are actually several spaces where this could be added in, the best in my opinion, is at the bottom in between "toggle side panel" and "BB Code Help" - you could simply add in "Classic Editor" and "Advanced Editor" (in my opinion, those are better names than standard and rich text which sound more 'technical'
TestingSomething Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 They honesatly should touch up the whole look of the RTE one to be noticable. Maybe a different color somewhere or trim around it, I dunno.
