No matter how good IPB is, it still works on OS + www service + php +mysql + zend, etc. The environment performance is important to IPB.

I believe a lot of us can make IPB run in the environment we setup, but we don't know what are the best settings to IPB.

I suggest IPS write an IPB environment setup tutorial, like how to config the httpd.conf, php, zend, mysql, etc.

So you're suggesting recommended optimal server configurations? I think that'd be a nice resource for those who have their own server.

It will take quite some time to prepare due to the number of server configurations & documenting configuration files for several versions of every necessary application. Then it could be a real chore for the user to find their particular server configuration & application versions, so it would also need to be handily cross-referenced.
