When RC1 comes out I would like to upgrade my live board even though I am not supposed to. :whistle:

I was just wondering if there was anyway if the IPS staff could tell me if a upgrade script would be released so we can upgrade from RC1 to the next version and then further on all the way to the final. I was really hoping for a final by November 5th but it looks like it wont happen.

Not recommended. Wait until final or you could be risking alot.

Since IPB 2.2.0 RC 1 isn't released, staff I doubt can tell you what will happen or even if the next release will be RC 1 or not.

My suggestion you wait till its released, wait till to see what they suggest, and no matter what wait for the final.

Foolish, foolish. Even an RC could corrupt your database beyond any hope of redemption. Also, although you can upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2RC, the 2.2 Final Upgrader is NOT able to upgrade RC or Beta releases.

You risk alot by upgrading with RC1. If something goes wrong, you did it to yourself. Its just not worth all the headaches that would likely follow.
