riven3d Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 dont think it would matter, im about to find out
Keith J. Kacin Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 It does matter for people who use zend and not ioncube LOL.Well, ioncube does not depends on a specific server software, so anyone should be able to install.
Quillz Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 So, is IonCube better then? After all, who would want to install extra software if they don't want to?
BlakeC Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Ioncube allows runtime loading. Basically you put the loaders in a folder that you upload on your hosting account. Zend Optimizer requires your host to install and make changes to php.ini.If your host has Zend installed, then that is the easiest way to get up and running. IonCube allows you to install if you host does not have Zend and does not want to install.A couple links to help:Instructions for installing IonCube (follow the Run-time section, unless you have access to php.ini)http://www.ioncube.com/loader_installation.phpLoadershttp://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php
