PolakTom101 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 How much will it be if I want the Bussiness Editon of IPB Board in the IPS Community Suite instead of the Standard Editon?Devilboy3007
.Cameron Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I believe it's $300. Or $299 if you want to be optimistic.
Andrew-T Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Yea he is rightIP.Community SuiteIn addition to the IP.Board license options outline above, you will be able to purchase our entire suite of community products - IP.Board, IP.Gallery, IP.Blog - for a significant discount off purchasing them separately. The community suite will be available, under the Standard License, for $249.00 plus the regular $25.00 ever six months.
Cimme Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 hi, but what do I have to pay, if I allready have got a community-Suite?
Management Charles Posted September 19, 2006 Management Posted September 19, 2006 hi, but what do I have to pay, if I allready have got a community-Suite?If you already have it why would you pay again? :)To clarify - the Suite pricing is just a bundled price so you get a discount if you want to buy all the components.
.Cameron Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 To my knowledge, there is no actual "Community Suite" at present time. You may have all of the products, but you didn't buy them in a bundle.
CharlesC Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I'm just confused on this whole subject, the prices are being raised? Although I do have a perpetual license, I still pay only $30 if I chose to re-new for another year of support? It's just all this news is making me think that IPB will be sold with Licenses, the higher the price, the more features you get?

riven3d Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 thats a good question, that i dont think has been covered yet.
WilliamTM Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 So...wait...what's the price(s) now for ONLY the board?
CharlesC Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I honestly don't think anybody has a clue..
riven3d Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 when 2.2 comes out, the board will be $149 then $25 every 6 months for support/upgrades
The Gamers Force Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 So...wait...what's the price(s) now for ONLY the board?$149.00 for a new license then $25.00 every six months
The Gamers Force Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 so basically since I own all 3, I still just pay my normal $25 to keep all 3 active?I would like to know this as well.
Mat Barrie Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 when 2.2 comes out, the board will be $149 then $25 every 6 months for support/upgradesOr you can save money by buying a Yearly license now, as that converts to a Standard license upon release, minus the $149 up front (which you wont be charged) - awesome value for money there. That said, you could also get a Perpetual now, and for the first year pay $185 and get to keep your $30/year support contract.
Mat Barrie Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 so basically since I own all 3, I still just pay my normal $25 to keep all 3 active? You pay what you currently do, since Gallery and Blog licenses are essentially perpetual. Your board license is the only change. If it's currently perpetual, "you're in the money!" whereas if it's Yearly, it gets made into a Standard (unless it expires first)
CharlesC Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 $149.00 for a new license then $25.00 every six monthsI don't see how that is an improvement, in other words, new customers are spending $50 a year for Support?

If it's currently perpetual, "you're in the money!" whereas if it's Yearly, it gets made into a Standard (unless it expires first)They arent really perpetual, you have a seperate cost for renewal each year. I think its like 30 and 25 each. If they want to offer the $25 to renew via a suite option I would like to see an offer such as people who own the two main componets to be able to get a suite license by combing their IP.Board, Ip.Gallery, and IP.blog licenses.
The Gamers Force Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I don't see how that is an improvement, in other words, new customers are spending $50 a year for Support? That is correct, in essence its cheaper than it used to be even though you pay every six months, it used to be 69.95 a year because you had to basiclly buy a new license
Donna_ Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I asked this via supportmy replies:The community suite pricing is only available for brand new purchases. We can allow you to upgrade your yearly licenses to the Perpetual license for the difference in cost which is $115.05 if you choose to do so by October 1, 2006. This will give you one year of technical support (optional $30 renewal) and free upgrades for life.so I asked for an invoice for $115.05 if it includes the gallery and blogs as well and got this reply  I believe there is some confusion. The Community Suite gives you one Standard license ($149 license and $25 every six months), the Gallery, and the Blog. I can upgrade your yearly license that you currently have to upgrade to the Perpetual license for $115.05.and well I still am not sure which is which and what I'm supposed to pay to make them all one instead of 4 seperate licences, I have the forum/Gallery/Blog/IPB Downloads
CharlesC Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 New Customers are going to have to be spoiled children, hard working, or rich now.
