Multi Moderation: AutoClose (Delay)

A lot of Multi Moderation things used mainly add a reply and close a topic (like here for support requests). Sometimes the topic poster is new to IPB and IPS, and may wish to reply to the MM reply - as they might not understand - and having a topic closed can be a pain if they want to do that. So enter my suggestion (which I think many sites may find useful)

Instead of having the MM close the topic, have it set a delay on closing it, e.g. 24 hours, 1 hour (admin settable) so someone can reply and say "Oh thanks" or "I cant email the sales address because it bounces back to me" or what ever, but after the time delay, the topic closes for constistency.

Yes, a feature like timed open topics, but for closing topics.

Would come in handy in some situations.

He means timed operated Topic-Multi-Moderation. Right now, you can add a reply and close the topic. But he's suggesting that you add a reply (like currently) but it keeps the topic open and after a set amount of time the forum closes that topic.

I agree, Michael. I think the Multi-Moderation feature needs to be expanded upon to allow for more moderation features in there, such as auto-close and auto-close delay. +1 for this, and a big +1 for improving the Multi-Moderation feature.

To tell you the truth, I have no clue ABOUT multi-moderation tools, sounds cool, options seem cool, have no clue how to use them.

I see no way in default board to have any auto response and closing to begin with.

That's why it's being suggested, so it might (no guarantee it will} be possible in a future version of IPB.

Oh well the way I understood this topic was that the feature already existed where it gives an auto message and closes and that the suggestion is to delay the closing.

Also for the multi-moderation tools I would like to see them added to the main list, with the option of replacing ones already in the list (for example upon closing a topic, you might want an auto-reply to be generated in all situations)
