djixas Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 In IPB 2.1, management > manage forums I can't mark few forums in admin panel and just select to delete them, I need to do that one by one. I wish that this would be possible in IPB 2.2
Antony Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I don't think this is really needed. You usually need to manage one or two forums in a go. If you need to delete more, a SQL query will be more sensible.
djixas Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 So why there's admin panel then? We can do anything cia SQL then? LOL.This is faster way, yesterday I deleted 18 forums.
UBERHOST.NET Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Firefox, middle click, pretty fast. ;)
Michael Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 How often do you really need to delete 18 forums? I can't see how it would be worth it to code this feature in. Sure, your board may need to delete 18 forums every week or so, but I think you're definitely in the minority there.
Guest Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 didn't brandon mention on ips beyond somewhere that multi-forum actions like removing moderators/deleteing forums would become easier in the next version?
Michael Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 He mentioned about adding moderators, don't remember hearing anything about mass-deleting forums.
bfarber Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Mass management of moderators will be done in 3.0, not in the 'next version' (being 2.2).
The Law Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 It's not very often you have to do it, that's true... but if you EVER do, it is really a pain in the ass. It should be a feature I think.

Strange_Will Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 :huh:Middle click is open in a new tab, this is what I do when I want to change a lot of forum rules/permissions/settings, middle click them all, each forum has it's own tab, make the changes, I'm done.As opposed to open>edit>close>scroll down find the next one>open>edit>close>etc.
