.John. Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Will upgrade ASAP. Hopefully the 2.1.2 upgrade won't be far behind :D
Gaia Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Nice, now when i get enough money i'll have to purchase ^_^
RobertMidd Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 At last the jigsaw is complete and I can now upgrade IPB,ICB & IPG to acceptable levels. Thanks.
yorkiemal Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 IG 2.0.2 still a dissapointment, as things still aren't working as they should be, after being tested on the IPS company forums and previously reported bugs still remain, plus some new ones. how many more updates before this product is right?

I agree. There are just too many bugs open right now.
Micks Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Yes this isnt very pro like for a company is it. Just get all the bugs fixed and not little updates. Even the doc is just few notes in notepad file etc doesnt seem to be as pro like as how the forum product is.
sonyinsider Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Since v2.0.1, Gallery has been working very well for me (1.6GB gallery, 1200+ media files). The new features and functionality are very smart and I'm proud of the work accomplished. The niggles that have been touted as crucial are moot -- most of the people I see complaining don't even have anything in their Gallery (everyone is entitled to their opinion, so don't start the firing squad) and should NOT derail someone from choosing this product. v2.0.2 goes further and matures the product even more. Great work!
yorkiemal Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 There's a problem with it...? See Bug Reports that'll give you the extent of it
Adam Kinder Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 There's a problem with it...? Bulk upload works as intended, however it's disabled by default, you have to enable it.

Someone should bug our windows-maker friends about this more than they should bug Invision about their problems. :) Good job, ze Kinder and team! You folks are amazing.
jethro Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 IG 2.0.2 still a dissapointment, as things still aren't working as they should be, after being tested on the IPS company forums and previously reported bugs still remain, plus some new ones. how many more updates before this product is right? Not trying to flame or anything, but have you ever released software to a customer base ? Generally you can test till the cows come home and still clients will find issues with the software in due course :) Even companies the size of microsoft release "upgrades" on a regular basis. Was actually quite pleased with 2.0.1 after upgrading last week, now guess we'll be doing it again. The Gallery is fairly new so keep reporting bugs as you find them, it's all part of the software life cycle. I'm currently supporting a package (not originally written by me) which is ten years old, and still have the odd bug being reported :) Software can never be considered bug free imho.
THR Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 See Bug Reports that'll give you the extent of it Well, that is most definitely not a bug and I would hardly even consider it an issue.
Carrie Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 The only problems I am having are the link for admins to approve images (when there are none) and the display code showing instead of the movie file. Other then those two issues. It's nice. :)
spade16 Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Been a gallery user for 11 months, from my experience I doubt if I will ever buy a invision non-forum product again.
WOFman Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I don't like the new software at all. The old edition had the layout so you would see each members galleries. Now it is a page of all the images on one page! Thats an upgrade? A downgrade if you ask me! I will not be renewing my yearly software fee.
princetontiger Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Software actually can be considered bug free, it's just that there are so many platforms and many rushed releases. "can't" and "impossible" should be removed for the dictionary... well, if "can't" ever is a word.
Keith J. Kacin Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 well, if "can't" ever is a word. It is...
princetontiger Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 well, i thought someone would get all technical cause it's a contraction.
