Lemon Head Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Hi, I have a banned Member in my Banned Member Group and this person is listed in the Ban Filters. Today, IPB v2.0.3 displayed the Member as celebrating their Birthday. I've now deleted this Member but the Board still showed the Member in the Birtdays section. I've since updated Birthday's in Cache Control. Its now correct. I think the Birthday facility should perhaps check the Banned Filters before displaying the Birthdays of banned Members, particulary if they are in a Banned Member Group. As I say, more of an issue than a bug. Thanks!
deebs Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 I would like to be able to be able to choose which groups do and do not have birthdays shown. (have installed a hack to the source to achieve this but an official solution would be preferable)
Halcy0n Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Oh come now who doesn't enjoy celebrating banned member's birthdays? ;)
Management Matt Posted April 22, 2005 Management Posted April 22, 2005 This bug has been confirmed and has been moved for further examination.
Management Matt Posted June 21, 2005 Management Posted June 21, 2005 This is not a bug in IPB but is more of a feature suggestion.
eyedam Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Yes, a feature suggestion, but - will it be implemented. It's not too hard, I think, and it's quite natural. I would suggest that the members of a member group which is set not to appear on the members list, would not appear on Today's Birthdays too. It would be only logical, I think. Thanks!
TCWT Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Please allow an option to exempt member groups from displaying on birthdays.
//Nathan Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Supplement - to set the banned group to disabled by default. +1
