Oncle Tom Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Hello, in the Post Office, there is a way to honour the "receive mails from administrators". That's good but the only way to disable it for a member is ... to do it himself, admins can't disable this feature for him. As we can edit many informations about a member, why not this one ? (but maybe not letting admins subsribing a member for informations, just in one way).
Oncle Tom Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 I guess it's not interesting ? I still think we should at least be able to unsubscribe members to receive admins mails (with a little mail of confirmation sent to the user, as for password change).
Germany Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Why would you need to? I definitely wouldn't want an admin to make me start recieving mail that I didn't request.
Oncle Tom Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Because a member asked me to unsubscribe him ^^ and it's how i found i could not do that ... i can modify his password, other informations but not that :/ i have to do it manually in the database.
X-Sports NZ Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 The only thing I see here is a member not wanting to be notified by Administrators about important things, such as them getting banned or suspended. I think that receiving emails from Administrators should be fixed by default, and that only emails from Members can be changed by the user himself.
Antony Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Well, The Option "I Do not Wish to Recive Mails from Admins" shouldnt apply to Suspension/Ban Emails. Or Extrmely Important ones.
Oncle Tom Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Beware you can be disturbed by some people who could attack you for "spamming". It's important to can honour some privacy settings like this one.
