Are you using any type of anti-virus that injects JavaScript into the web pages you visit by chance?

If you are using McAfee, KasperSky or so on, try temporarily disabling it and see if you still have any issues.

If that doesn't work, try disabling any ad blocking or similar plugins in your web browser. Additionally see if the issue also persists in an incognito window.

Edit: Just saw you said it works fine in Chrome, so your AV probably isn't the issue, which leaves browser plugins/ad blockers as the next most likely culprit.

It's weird.  I nuked all the Edge stuff, reset it to default and it still won't work in Edge. At least it's working in Chrome.

For reference for anyone. I fixed it. I removed my one Edge extension, LastPass and then reinstalled it. It's now working on Edge again.  I've had this extension for a long time and never had an issue like this. 🤨

Try going to the Get Support page at the bottom of the Systems tab (the default tab) in your AdminCP, and then look for the Clear System Cache button and click it.

Once you do that, reload the page and see if that resolves the issue you are having.

No change after clearing system cache

This is coming from the third party plugin called Donate Sidebar. It is imposing font selections on your community. You will want to remove any custom fonts and CSS in there or contact the author for assistance.

I disabled the plugin and it didn't change anything. Disabling it should have removed the font correct?

We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.

We look forward to further assisting you.

    Should be good now.

I took a quick look at your site, and my best guess is that the there is an issue with the database import where it looks like it has converted whitespace into a character.

It may be as simple as editing the footer template and saving it to correct the issue.

It's doing it on all the themes it seems.

Could contain: Lighting, Logo, Nature, Night, Outdoors, Astronomy, Moon, Light, Sea, Water

I agree - looks pretty easy ... but it's quite expensive. I only do 2000 mails per month. I don't know if it's worth the 19.95$ per month.

Does anybody have experience with user in fact reading a newsletter ?

Sendgrid gives me the click through on email (If the reader clicks links in the email etc. Delivery rate etc.)

As mentioned, there is unfortunately no way to rate limit bulk emails from within the software. I would recommend using a dedicated service, such as SendGrid.

Sendgrid.  It will save you lots of headaches on this.

If you can update your Admin CP details in your client area, I can check this for you. However, a 403 typically means that your host has Mod Security or some other firewall / security software in place that is blocking the request.

I would recommend contacting your host to see if this is the case and, if so, change the configuration to allow the request to go through properly.

I've updated the info in my client area.

  9. Just recently moved one of my forums to new hosting. Finally have a need to edit a plugin.

After I make the edit and click Save in the admin console I get a 403 forbidden error.

I assume this is a folder/file permissions issue.  What permissions should they be set too.

Is there a utility to set permissions?

    Board is on 4.77

Hi. Are you looking for this?

    Admincp/system/search engine optimizzation/friendly urls/rewrite urls

Wasn't that.  Before I moved the forum when one went to the admin console you were presented with this. You had to know the username password for this which was stored in a .htaccess file in the admin folder.

Could contain: Page, Text, Computer Hardware, Electronics, Hardware

Afterwards you could log into the admin console.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

Glad you're up and running now, @eliteone. If you have any issues with Invision Community, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us again.

Thank you. One minor thing, maybe you have the easy answer or someone else does. I used to have a .htaccess file for my admin directory. I had to remove it on the new host. How do I go about making a new one in IPB 4.7?
