  1. @Marc Stridgen

    Thank you for your response.
I assure you that these locale files are not present on my server (here, my PC, because my server is XAMPP). In the list seen in my first message, it's noticeable that neither French nor English is present (only languages whose existence I wasn't even aware of 😅). I think there's a bug. I can't say exactly where, but my PC is indeed configured in French, that's for sure.

  2. Hello everyone,

I installed a version of IPB locally with XAMPP as I wanted to have a development environment. However, I'm having a language issue.

Indeed, XAMPP is well configured for English and French, but when I try to choose French (or English US) as the locale language, it is not listed in the IPB's settings (note that there are only strange languages listed that I haven't even configured in my XAMPP conf file):
Could contain: File, Page, Text, Webpage

I also get an error saying that my locale code "fr_FR" is not supported
Could contain: Page, Text, File, Computer Hardware, Electronics, Hardware

    Can you please help me?

  3. @Jim M I went to check and it was indeed configured in French. Just to test without conviction, I changed it to English. Then I changed it back to French again, and there... magically, my dates are in French! Thank you a thousand times. I had tried everything (except that). I thought the issue was with my server configuration or something else. Even though I still don't understand where the problem was coming from...

    Thanks !

  4. Hi

I managed to solve my problem, but it's rather strange.
I had noticed that the thousands separator had a symbol for an unsupported character (this character: "") :

    Could contain: Logo, Text

So I edited my "locale frensh" file on my server to see what the character was for the thousands separator :

    Could contain: Text

    Could contain: Text, Number, Symbol

It was the code <U202F> for "Narrow No-Break Space". But strangely it wasn't recognized by my server. I replaced the code with a simple space and rebooted my server. This corrected the number display, but strangely enough, it also corrected my initial problem with notifications...

  5. Hey everyone,

I've been running into a bit of a snag lately with the notification messages. Whenever I click on a notification to view the new messages, it seems like the AJAX call is working fine, but I'm not getting any response back. It's almost like the calls are happening twice, making things even wonkier.

Could contain: Text, Computer Hardware, Electronics, Hardware, File

and as you can see no response on the body after the call

Could contain: File, Webpage, Text, Computer Hardware, Electronics, Hardware

This only started happening recently, right after we switched over to a new dedicated server. I've tried poking around on my end to fix it, but no luck so far.

Any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it? Your insights would be super appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
