We do offer automatic video encoding on our Teams and up plans on Cloud if that is of interest. If you deal with small video numbers though, you could indeed limit video uploading to MP4 since it is a universal format.

As an admin, you could download the video, convert it to MP4 using handbrake then re-upload. https://handbrake.fr

The video will play on Apple's own browser, which is Safari, because Apple owns Safari. The video will not play on Firefox because Apple does not own Firefox. People who use Safari will be able to play the video. People who don't use Safari will not be able to play the video.

Firefox does not support MOV. However, Safari does.
